Join Us For Our Fourth Annual Garage Sale, July 15-18.
If you have any items around the house that you would like to donate to a good cause, our fourth annual garage sale is fast approaching. Our garage sale is always held during the four days of the Miami Valley Steam Threshers Association Show at Pastime Park in Plain City. This year the show runs from Thursday, July 15 to Sunday, July 18. The featured tractor for the 61st annual show and reunion is the Oliver.
As always, our board member, Carol Gaul, will be in charge of the sale which she runs from her house at 176 Anderson Avenue. Carol’s house conveniently backs up to the park and the steam show. You can enter the sale from the show, as Carol has a pathway through her back yard to allow people to reach the front where sale items are displayed. Look for the large sale signs behind the Lions Club Booth and you’ll find Carol and our yard sale.
This sale is always a huge money maker for us. In the past we have raised between $1500-2000 with it. We are currently taking donations for the sale, so if you have anything you would like to donate, please contact Carol at 614-419-1553. Additionally, Carol also has her husband, Chuck, pick up larger items from people. If that is something you need help with, don’t fail to ask Carol about it when you call her.
All of the money we raise will be used to help us with our spay and neuter efforts in the Plain City area.
The sale usually runs from 9 in the morning to whenever the last person stops shopping in the evening. This year we are also going to have petitions available for people to sign to help get a measure on the 2011 ballot to stop puppy mill dog auctions in Ohio. If you haven’t signed and would like to, we will have those available for your county.
Please support us by either making a donation or stopping by to shop at our garage sale. We hope to see all of you there!
